For Kids

  • Be assured your child will be introduced into a nurturing and stimulating environment with no more than 6 kids attending a group. Children this age do not sit still for long, so fun and play form the foundation of my language classes!
Through a variety of activities such as dances, music, songs, vocabulary and nursery rhymes, your child will be encouraged and stimulated to begin a new language. Rituals and regular repetition build the foundation and enhance their early apprenticeship. Since parents play a crucial role in supporting their children in their early dual language development, I regularly send recently learned songs via mail to you. Your child can sing at home, accompanied by you!

  • At this age activities are designed to promote the development of social skills, emotional growth and physical period. By learning a new language, I implement the mentioned skills through role play and interactions.
Not only do we improve the simple, repeated songs and chants, but I offer a more complex aspect of the language by engaging your child in tactile and movement based games along with handcrafts that require them to solve simple problems –in their new language of course! Each day your child will take home things he/she has made. This early exposure to English, or any other language, will spark their interest and lay a foundation for future study.

  • Since my “language garden” is based on complementing the local school structure, I offer after school courses. See hours. Through simple literacy components your child will be ensured to not only listen, speak, sing and play in their new language, but read and write as well.
Presenting themself and others in English, numbers, colours, days of the week, food and telling the time are some of the things that your child will identify and use in English. My activities require an increasing level of engagement and understanding over time, giving your child a feeling of accomplishment and reward.

  • Your child may participate and learn in groups, but it is the individual person that learns. For a quick integration into our Swiss school system, an individual language training based on confidence may just be the right approach.
If you’re a homeschooling mother, I can take over the French or German part for your child’s tutoring. If your child has special needs, a loving, caring environment might help to overcome their difficulties and feel confident to improve their language skill.
